Governor of Puno: Only the resignation of Dina Boluarte will appease the protests
In an interview offered by the Regional Governor of Puno, Richard Hannco, the authority asserted that the resignation of Dina Boluarte as president would be the most appropriate decision, however, he said, that this would only be a step out of the political crisis. "The only way out that I see is the departure of Dina Boluarte (...) (Her resignation from her) would calm things down," he asserted.
"Human life cannot be below democracy. How many more lives will Dina Boluarte's permanence cost us? At this time, let's not talk about solutions but to calm things down," he continued and assured that sometimes you must be thoughtful and not become infatuated with a position.

In Juliaca there is a tense calm with pickets and waiting to perform the funerals of their deceased.
Currently, Juliaca remains calm. According to reports from La República, citizens get ready for the funeral of their loved ones who died on January 9, when they were killed while protesting and others were hit by bullets without even participating in the demonstrations, such as the case of Yamileth, a 17-year-old teenager. Meanwhile, various points of the Pearl of the Altiplano, as Juliaca is known, are picketing.

Protesters in Arequipa go out to march in solidarity with Juliaca
In Arequipa, merchants from the Andrés Avelino Cáceres platform went out to march in support of those killed during the clashes in Juliaca. Police agents prevented some groups from advancing to the city fence, which caused incidents and clashes. Likewise, in parallel, members of Civil Construction are also moving protesting the more than forty deaths in a month of the Dina Boluarte regime.

Juliaca; proposal to change the name of Avenida Independencia to Mártires del 9 de Enero (Martyrs of the 9th of January).
The Mayor of the Provincial Municipality of San Román-Juliaca, Óscar Cáceres Rodríguez, proposed changing the name of Independencia Avenue, at the exit to Cusco, to Mártires del 9 de Enero. Mayor Rodriguez also condemned the fact that President Dina Boluarte did not listen to his requests during the protests and has joined demands for her resignation from her position, the advancement of elections, convening a constituent assembly and the closing of Congress.

Four injured during the protests in Juliaca will be evacuated to Lima
Due to their serious condition, four people who were seriously injured during the protests in Juliaca will be transferred to specialized hospitals in Lima. As it was known, three of the injured were diagnosed with eye trauma and one patient with a head injury. In this sense, one will be taken to the Hospital of Neurological Sciences, another to the National Institute of Ophthalmology and two to the Villa el Salvador hospital.
