Travelers who leave from Moquegua to Puno must walk several kilometers to reach their destination
Citizens begin to walk on foot to get to Puno from Moquegua. People must walk more than three kilometers. Some companies leave for the city of the altiplano; however, the prices of the tickets rose exorbitantly.
Passengers only arrive as far as Laraqueri, in Puno, an area where Peruvian Army vehicles are also located. They were confident that this Thursday there would be a pass because soldiers and police tried to clear the roads, but the Puno community members opposed it. In this way, travelers must walk long stretches, according to RPP.
