Yonhy Lescano speaks on the sending of army troops to Puno.

Former presidential candidate Yonhy Lescano expressed his rejection of the Government's decision to send Peruvian Army troops to the Puno region. He considered that President Dina Boluarte sent the military to subdue the population. In this sense, he held the Executive responsible for the consequences that the presence of soldiers in the altiplano region may bring. “We have reached barbarism and lies. After insulting Puno and asking for dialogue, Boluarte sends Army troops to subdue Puno. This is pure dictatorship; the government and allies will be responsible for what is going to happen.
