Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Luis Fernando Helguero affirmed that 2.5 million international tourists are expected to visit Peru this year, despite severe damage to the country’s image by protests in December and January.

This figure would represent a rise of 26% compared to 2022 (2 million international tourists).

In this regard, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETOUR) explained that international travelers would generate an income of US$3.337 billion (up 17% from 2022). (more)
