There are still 41 points with restricted traffic due to protests in 8 regions.

Stranded. Protesters had blocked roads in Puno, Cusco, Arequipa, Apurimac, Ayacucho, Huancavelica, Huanuco and Ucayali. Ombudsman demands to continue with humanitarian corridors and flights.

Despite the repression, until last night, protesters who are against Congress and President Dina Boluarte still maintained 41 blocked transit points in at least eight regions of the country, according to the interactive map of the Superintendence of Land Transport of People, Cargo and Merchandise (Sutran).

Of these 41 areas, 28 are totally interrupted and 13 have restricted traffic, affecting thousands of people seeking to move to other cities. The situation is more critical in Puno (Mazocruz, Desaguadero, Ilave, Chicuito, Juli) and in Cusco (La Convención, Kimbiri, Canchis and Sicuani).

The same happens on the Panamericana Sur highways, in Chala (Arequipa) and in the Longitudinal de la Sierra, in Abancay (Apurimac), Ayacucho, Huancavelica, Huánuco and Ucayali.

According to the Sutran, until last night the vehicular passage had also been restored in 129 points, especially on the Longitudinal road of the North Coast, as well as on the Pan-American Coast (Tacna, Moquegua, Ica, Lima, Ancash, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Piura and Tumbes).

Humanitarian flights
Due to these closures, the Ombudsman's Office insisted on the need for the Government to implement humanitarian corridors and flights, with the aim of immediately attending to people who are stranded for not continuing their journey by land or air.

It is necessary to articulate with the Armed Forces, the Police and the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC). "It is essential to coordinate the rapid implementation of humanitarian corridors to complete the transfer of those who must go to a health facility," said the deputy for the State Administration of the Ombudsman's Office, Eugenia Fernán-Zergarra.

He also asked regional and municipal authorities to facilitate the delivery of medicines, food, water and shelter material, with emphasis on those sick, as well as the elderly, pregnant women, people with disabilities or newborns or children.
