Cercado de Lima: local raid of Nuevo Peru and the Peasant Confederation

At least 50 agents of the National Police, the Public Ministry and the Dircote, headed by General Óscar Arriola, raided the local supporter of Nuevo Peru and the Peasant Confederation of Peru (CCP), located in the Bolognesi oval, in the district of Cercado de Lima.

In the place is the search for demonstrators who came to the capital from different parts of the country to protest against President Dina Boluarte, the advance of elections and the closure of Congress.

"We have intervened because of the information that inside they cause excesses and destruction. Balaclavas, machetes and slingshots have been found. In addition, among the 26 detainees are two people who participated in the Andahuaylazo. They are Rosendo Ramírez and Isaías Galindo. One of them investigated for terrorism," General Arriola told the press.

"We are doing intelligence activities and being in a state of emergency, the Armed Forces have been guaranteeing that no more damage occurs," he said.
