Regarding the profile that would be chosen to lead the Cabinet, Boluarte commented that this would be technical and political, that could "build bridges for dialogue", especially after the protests that spread throughout the country. "As a result of this situation of violence by a small group, because the great mass of the 33 million Peruvians wants to live in peace, we have said that we are going to reform the Cabinet," he declared on Sunday's Cuarto Poder.
Previous Activities
On Tuesday afternoon, President Boluarte participated in the closing ceremony of a new promotion that joins the Foreign Ministry's diplomatic service. Among the entrants was David Eduardo Gomez Boluarte, one of the sons of the head of state.
After this activity, Boluarte met for more than two hours with the head of the National Intelligence Directorate (DINI), Juan Carlos Liendo O'Connor. Earlier, he had a meeting with the Minister of the Interior, César Cervantes, together with police authorities. In addition, in the afternoon he received representatives of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) at the Government Palace, who are making a technical visit to the country after they expressed "their highest concern" about the violence registered in the protests.
