Through a collection carried out by the parents of Xavier Candamo Dasilva, a 30-year-old Loreto who died during a confrontation between protesters and the National Police to free the Panamericana Sur highway in Arequipa, he managed to raise enough funds for the transfer of the young man's body to his native city of Iquitos.

According to Mrs. Sadith Dasilva, Xavier Candamo's mother, through a collection with her friends who also work as miners, her daughter-in-law obtained enough money to pay a funeral home to make the transfer. "My daughter-in-law told me that my son is going to arrive at 10 in the morning, we are going to bring him to my house to watch him," she said.

The young miner's family stated that they still need financial help to be able to cover the expenses of the wake, the burial and to obtain a ticket so that his daughter-in-law and granddaughter can come to Iquitos to accompany Xavier until his eternal rest.

“We ask good-hearted people to come to my house or contact my children Deysi and Kevin, so they can help us. I am here (at home) all day, we are going to receive you with the doors open, please help us,” said Mrs. Sadith.

The family announced that any help can be sent to the house located in the 1ro de Febrero passage, at the intersection of Calvo de Araujo streets (at block 18) and Pilco Pérez in the district of Iquitos, or by calling Deysi Candamo's cell phone 901044171, Xavier's sister.
